Sports Development 2012 Programme
Between 2009 and 2012, the Council’s 2012 Team
are working closely with the sports development team and partners
such as Greenwich Leisure Ltd and numerous sports clubs to deliver
a series of sports programmes.
The programme will capitalise on our
role as a host borough for 2012 to inspire people to get active
through supporting and developing the following events and
activities:
- International Women and Girls Day
- Tower Hamlets London Youth Games and Mini
Games squads
- Tower Hamlets Tennis Club Girls'
Development
- Schools Olympic Sports Day
- Archery Development
- Summer Club Coaching Programme
- Tower Hamlets Unity Cup
- Tower Hamlets Young at Heat Olympics
- GLL inter Borough Wellness Games for over
50s
- Basketball Development Programme
- Judo Competition
