Tower Hamlets Partnership
Delivering the community plan is the responsibility of the Tower
Hamlets Partnership - our local strategic partnership. It has been
independently evaluated as one of the most inclusive partnerships
in the country which is highly effective in engaging people in
shaping the future of the borough.
The council has played a leading role in establishing the
partnership and developing its shared vision. We have a particular
legitimacy in providing this local lead because of the mandate
given by our democratic base. We use this to ensure that our vision
is an inclusive one, which reaches out to all local people and
which sustains and celebrates diversity.
The partnership is the vehicle through which we are delivering
our neighbourhood renewal strategy. We also use the partnership to
make sure that we are on track with delivering our promises and
that we are working ever more effectively across traditional
boundaries.
The Tower Hamlets Partnership comprises three distinctive
parts:
- local area partnerships - which bring together people in their
localities
- community plan action groups - which bring together service
providers and key agencies around our main themes
- The Partnership Management Group - which ensures delivery
