Selling to Tower Hamlets Council
Suppliers of goods and services that fall below the current EU
threshold for quotes and tenders are not required to register with
an accreditation service.
We place all of our adverts that fall under goods and services
categories with CompeteFor and additionally with other advertising
media. CompeteFor is an online service 'free to suppliers and
buyers' that has been used successfully for advertising the London
2012 Olympic opportunities. Suppliers who win LBTH contracts
that have sub-contracting opportunities are expected to advertise
20% of those opportunities via the CompeteFor site. This means
that as the major contracts are let; second; third and fourth tier
suppliers will have the opportunity to bid for
business. This should ideally mean that small to medium sized
organisations and sole traders will have the opportunity to
bid for business.
CompeteFor
Registering with CompeteFor is completely free. Find out more and
register with CompeteFor online. Please ensure that you
publish your business profile to enable contract opportunities to
be sent to you automatically.
Local suppliers - East London
Business Place
Additionally, local suppliers i.e.
those that fall within the E1, E2, E3 and E14 postcode areas,
should register with the East London Business
Place, as this is our site of choice for identifying local
suppliers. If you are located within the relevant postcode
areas and are not already registered with ELBP please do so,
registration is free of charge.
