Core Strategy Examination

The Core Strategy was submitted to the Secretary of State for Examination in Public on 18 December 2009.

The Core Strategy Examination in Public has now closed following the deliver of the Planning Inspector’s binding report

Planning Inspector’s binding report

The Binding Report is accompanied by three annexes.  The report, annex A and annex B state minor changes required for soundness. Annex C states minor amendments not required for soundness.  The report and annexes can be downloaded below:

The Council is now amending the Core Strategy with the changes stated within the Inspector’s report and the three annexes.  The final Core Strategy will now be taken to Full Council for its consideration and adoption in September 2010.  Following adoption by the Council, the final version of the Core Strategy will be published and will be available to download and to purchase

The Pre-Hearing meeting took place on Tuesday 2 March 2010.

Core Strategy hearings

As part of the Examination the Inspector held a series of hearings focusing on key issues.  The Hearings will begin on Tuesday 13 April 2010 starting at 10am.  The Hearings are now closed.
