Core strategy
The Core Strategy is one of the key tools to
realise the vision of the Community Plan. It provides us with a 15
year plan which will shape what our borough looks like in the
future.
The Core Strategy has been shaped by ongoing
consultation and engagement involving local people, businesses and
communities, as well as service providers and key stakeholders.
The core strategy examination
has now closed following the delivery of the Planning
Inspector’s binding report.
Council officers will now prepare the Core
Strategy for adoption by the Council in September 2010.
Core strategy submission version
This is the version of the Core Strategy that
has been submitted to the Secretary of State on 18 December 2009
for an independent examination by an appointed Inspector.
The submission version incorporates a series
of minor changes. These changes have taken on board the comments
and feedback received during the last round of consultation. A
summary of the representation and a table setting out the changes
is available to download below.
