Refresh of the Community Plan
The Community Plan sets out what local residents, businesses
and organisations want Tower Hamlets to be like and how they intend
to improve the borough.
This year the plan is being refreshed. The
purpose of the refresh is to ensure that the priorities and
objectives outlined in the plan are still important to local people
and will help to achieve the vision of ‘improving the quality of
life for everyone who lives and works in the borough’.
The refresh will be an opportunity to look
back on the borough’s key achievements, assess what its like to
live and work in the borough and look forward at how we can make
the most of the future opportunities facing Tower Hamlets.
We also anticipate that local
public services will have to make significant financial
savings over the next few years and the Community Plan will help us
to decide how we target our resources to achieve the Tower Hamlets
that we all want.
We are currently running a borough-wide
consultation process to engage key stakeholders from across
the community to have their say on the Community Plan and the
priorities. We've held
a series of events across the borough for residents, workers and
anyone with an interest in the area to come along and have their
say.
Don't worry if you didn't attend any of these:
we'll be holding stalls at various locations across the borough
throughout August. Alternatively, and you can have your say by
completing our online
survey.
