Mainstream grant funding

The council’s main stream grants is a long-established and comprehensive funding programme which is available for supporting voluntary and community sector organisations in the delivery of key activities and services for the benefit of local residents.

Funding is currently available for the period October 2012 through to March 2015 and applications are being sought under the following funding streams.

• Arts sports and environmental services
• Children and families services
• Community/economic engagement services
• Early years services
• Community Language services
• Lifelong learning services
• Older people lunch club services
• Social welfare advice services
• Study support services
• Third sector infrastructure support services
• Youth and connexions services

Grant specifications relating to the above funding streams provide detailed information on activities which the Council wishes to support.

In order to be considered for funding, organisations need to complete an on-line application. You will need to download a copy of the application guidance (pdf 103kb) which provides essential help on the information that needs to be covered within the various questions in the application form and the link to the online application.

Additionally, a very useful support function is available in the form of application workshops: these are aimed primarily at small organisations or those with limited experience of completing detailed grant applications.
