Assessment of childcare
The Tower Hamlets Early Years
team has carried out a sufficiency assessment of
childcare in the borough.
This assessment measures the type and
extent of childcare available. We are required to do this under
the Childcare Act 2006. The process helps us identify if there
are gaps in childcare and supports us in planning to better meet
the needs of parents.
The assessment found that parents in Tower
Hamlets are, for the most part, able to access the childcare they
need.

assessment of childcare in the borough report (pdf 409k).
