A group of unemployed Tower Hamlets young people have a brighter
future after completing the SkillsLadder programme.
Thanks to the help they received from the
council’s job brokerage service Skillsmatch and Pitman trainers
Love Tate, the 16 graduates have now taken up work placements with
potential employers, including the Independent Police
Complaints Commission and East End Homes.
John Reid, senior consultant at Love
Tate, congratulated the group.
“All the students deserve their success. They
are great ambassadors not only for Skillsmatch/Pitman and Love
Tate, but for the whole of the borough,” he said
“Our partnership is measured in the success of
the students who take part.
“With the right skills, motivation and
opportunity our students prove themselves again and again.”
Skillsmatch regularly runs training programmes
to help the borough’s unemployed, and over the past year more than
150 people have found jobs thanks to the service.
