Tower Hamlets Council’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) has confirmed a number of key roles and appointments in the first Full Council meeting since the local and Mayoral elections earlier this month (May 3).

The AGM took place in the Town Hall’s Council Chamber at 7pm on Wednesday May 23 and immediately followed a special meeting to bestow the honour of Freedom of the Borough to Commander John Ludgate.  Commander Ludgate recently retired from his role as the Borough’s Deputy Lieutenant after 22 years.
