Tower Hamlets Council is celebrating International Women's Day, International Women's Week and Women's History Month in March.
The council is focusing on gender equality and women’s empowerment - and across the borough, a range of wonderful events, including talks, documentaries, exhibitions and more, are taking place to celebrate women’s contributions to society.
To mark International Women's Day on 8 March, we have also produced a series of short videos featuring some of the many women who are making a difference in Tower Hamlets. These women all hold senior roles within the council, and they have opened up about what inspires them and why it's so important to mark International Women's Day.
Watch now to find out about their experiences and hear their motivating words for women and girls in Tower Hamlets, and beyond.
