Consultation on changes to day support in adult social care opens

We are consulting on proposals that will change day support in adult social care. Day support includes activities, services and day centres for adults who need care and support.

The way we have been able to offer day support has changed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the pandemic continuing to impact how we can offer services, we are thinking about what day support should look like when the pandemic ends. At the same time, like all other councils we are facing significant financial pressures. We are changing some of our services as a result of this.

We want your views on how day support should change in future and what you think about our proposals.

The consultation runs from Monday 9 November 2020 to Monday 4 January 2020. To have your say, please visit Let’s talk Tower Hamlets, the council’s online consultation and engagement platform.

Update on 25 November

Two online consultation events have now been set up and will be an opportunity for anyone interested to share their views on our consultation. The meetings will be held on Wednesday 2 December (11.30am - 12.30pm) and Thursday 10 December (5pm - 6pm). More information and details to join these meetings can be found on Let’s talk Tower Hamlets.
