Update to library service due to lockdown


Idea Store Whitechapel, alongside Idea Store Chrisp Street and Bow will be offering a limited service during lockdown

Library Services - From this evening (4 November) current library services will cease to be delivered from our Idea Stores in line with Government guidance.

From Tuesday 10 November, there will be a limited service available, where you can either ring up or order books online and collect them from a choice of three Idea Stores:

The order and collect service will be available Mondays to Fridays from 11am till 4pm and on the weekend from 12noon till 4pm.

If you do not have access to a computer or internet access at home but need to use essential online public services, you can ring and book a time to come in and use a computer at any of the Idea Stores listed above.

  • Local History Library and Archives - all confirmed appointments for visits at the Local History Library and Archives will be suspended until further notice, although the service will continue online, visit www.ideastore.co.uk/local-history
  • Adult Learning - From 5 November all fitness and dance classes will either move online or cease to be delivered. Other classes will continue to be delivered either online or in store at their regular time. We will continue to adapt how we deliver classes around learner needs.
