Consultation on Public Spaces Protection Order to address use of nitrous oxide

We are consulting on proposals to introduce a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in the borough, to tackle the issue of antisocial behaviour linked to the recreational use of the psychoactive substance, nitrous oxide.

A PSPO can be put in place to deal with a particular nuisance in a particular area that is having a detrimental effect on the quality of life for those in the local community. It can prohibit certain things or require specific things to be done.

We want your views on proposals to introduce a PSPO and to hear what you think about them.

The consultation runs from Monday 4 January 2021 to Monday 15 February 2021. To have your say, please visit Let’s talk Tower Hamlets, the council’s online consultation and engagement platform.
