We are considering introducing fines for unacceptable and anti-social behaviour in our parks.
Our parks and open spaces are protected by byelaws which help to keep them safe places for everyone to visit. However, currently those who break these byelaws can only be prosecuted, which costs a lot of money and takes a lot of time.
Instead, we want to introduce fixed penalty notices (FPNs) so those who commit unacceptable and anti-social behaviour in our parks and open spaces can be fined.
London Councils is running a consultation on this change on behalf of Tower Hamlets Council. The survey will be open until 30 January 2023. Please take part and give us your views.
