Applications open for coronation street parties, funding and training

Residents can apply for permission to hold a community or street party over the coronation bank holiday weekend.

Applications for street parties and celebrations to mark the coronation of King Charles III's are now open!

Residents are invited to apply for permission to hold a community street party on Tower Hamlets highways over the coronation bank holiday weekend from Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May 2023. Applications to hold street parties must be submitted by noon on Friday 24 March 2023

A limited number of grants of up to £500 are also available for residents to hold community coronation parties, either on the street or in a venue. Applications for funding must be submitted to the East End Community Foundation by 12 noon on Monday 6 February 2023.  

Online training will be available on 8 February 2023, on how to deliver a safe event.
