Council meetings move to new Town Hall

New town hall

The first public meeting to be held at the new Town Hall in Whitechapel will be the Children and Education Scrutiny Sub-Committee, taking place on Thursday 9 February.

As the new Town Hall is not yet fully open to the public, anyone wishing to attend a meeting this month will need to enter the building through the site hoarding at ‘Gate One’ which is directly opposite Whitechapel station, and from there will be escorted and directed by staff to the meeting.

A full list of upcoming council meetings, including dates, times and contact details is available on the council’s website.

Public notices of meetings and copies of agendas and reports will continue to be available at Mulberry Place until the new Town Hall is officially opened to the public later this month, after which they will be available from reception at the new Town Hall at 160 Whitechapel Road, London, E1 1BJ.
