Description

The devised performance of ‘Silk River’ is a celebration of the cultures and community of Tower Hamlets. We are adapting this show from its original form of street theatre to a stage performance as part of the Season of Bangla Drama Festival.

We are looking for singers, rappers and actors to present stories about different sites and people of Tower Hamlets.

Rehearsals every Thursday 6.300pm – 8.30pm at the Brady Arts Centre

This includes the opportunity to achieve a nationally accredited Bronze Arts Award.

The performance will take place on Thursday 16 November at 7.30pm. This will be preceded by a creative arts silk painting workshop where participants can create leaves of aspiration to add to the exhibition outside the Theatre before the show.
