Holocaust Memorial Day: Jewish Heritage Walk

Starting from Aldgate Tube station
Sunday 27th January 2019 (12:00-15:00)
A programme of events to remember the millions of Jews who lost their lives during the Holocaust in World War Two will be delivered in partnership with Jewish Care, Jewish East End Celebration Society (JEECS), East London Central Synagogue, UK Jewish Film, Rich Mix and the Tower Hamlets Local History Library and Archive, with support from Tower Hamlets Council’s Arts, Parks and Events team and One Tower Hamlets.

The theme for 2019 is ‘Torn from Home’, which asks us all to consider what happens when individuals, families and communities are driven out of, or wrenched, from their homes because of persecution or the threat of genocide.
