Galool Somali Children’s Entertainment
Ilwad Sabban promotes the writing and reading of the Somali language among Somali children in the UK, based on the cultural and linguistic resources she has developed alongside her mother Zainab Dahir available on www.galool.com. They are launching a kid’s TV and will be sharing this exciting development. Jawahir A. Farah has been a teacher (1990-2014) in the London Borough of Ealing, U.K. She is also an author, self-publisher and writes mainly for primary age children. Currently, Jawahir is a Director/Founder of Somsimma.com for the Deaf/Blind in remote areas of Somalia. She will be sharing story telling and pre-recorded footage from her bilingual academic books been taught to students in Hayes, Ealing.
Part of the 13th annual Somali Week Festival from KAYD which will run from 26th-30th October 2021. The theme of this year is “Inspire: inspired by the past, inspiring the future” which envisages a post Covid-19 world inspired by music, literature and legends of our community.
