BAME Network will arrange a celebration of Black History Month at the Mayfield Hub. The programme will include the exhibition of African ornaments, WALL of Fame, to showcase amazing women during the Pandemic.

The event will include speeches and Q&A session with Simon Andrew Woolley and Safia Jama. Baron Woolley of Woodford (TBC) is a political and equalities activist and the founder and director of Operation Black Vote. Safia Jama is CEO of the Women's Inclusive Team, a race equality commissioner at the Tower Hamlets.

There will also be live entertainment, with music, interactive African Dancing and traditional Somali food to further the African experience.

People can also join the event via zoom and other online platforms, which will be arranged closer to the event date.
