Orange

Celebrating 50 years of Independence of Bangladesh would be incomplete without rejoicing the significant role literature plays in Bangladesh’s cultural make up.

The play ‘Death of an orange’ tells the story of the life and work of the most revered modern Bengali poet, a cult figure Jibanananda Das (1899-1956), born and bought up in Bangladesh, but unfortunately hardly known to the outside world.
