Parrt of a 4 week course. Participants will be encouraged to bring objects, discuss their significance with the rest of the group and shoot images with the objects to enhance the findings of the discussions in a creative and artistic way. Personal objects, memory, loss and faith are potential subjects that will emerge.
Each session of the course will focus on a differing theme ensuring a wonderful exploration of our world around us. Finally, all participants will create a collaborative piece of artwork to celebrate their explorations.

About Sylvia Belbouab: Sylvie Belbouab is a photographer who has lived in Newham for 20 years, originally from Nantes in France, she became interested in photography as a teenager, starting with films. Inspired by humanists' photographers such as Robert Doisneau and Cartier Bresson, she is mostly interested by portraits and capturing people’s personalities and stories.
She is now working on personal projects such as stories from Newham and portraits of my sisters which are documentaries about her personal experience as living in East London and exploring her identity as a Muslim woman. She is also a community artist and delivers therapeutic photography workshops with various groups.
