The IAAF World Championships London 2017 Marathon will take place on a 10km circuit of closed roads in the City of London and Westminster on Sunday, 6 August.
The event will start and finish on Tower Bridge.
Roads used by the event will be closed and you are advised to plan your travel in advance.
Road closures in our borough are: Tower Bridge Road including Tower Bridge Approach; Queen Elizabeth Street between Tower Bridge Road and Tooley Street; East Smithfield; The Highway; Limehouse Link Tunnel (Westbound); East India Tunnel (Westbound); Mansell Street; Shorter Street; Minories; Tower Hill; Byward Street; Lower Thames Street and Upper Thames Street.
To manage traffic safely, The Highway and East Smithfield will be closed to traffic from 6am until 7pm.
Resident and business access into Wapping and St Katherine’s Dock will be facilitated from Dock Street, Cannon Street Road and Glamis Road at all times.
Closures of the Limehouse Link Tunnel Westbound and East India Tunnel Westbound will also be required between 6am and until 7pm.
A number of parking suspensions will be in place including pay and display bays and single yellow lines -these will be clearly marked with signage and cones.
