Stepney born Musician Jah Wobble, a contemporary of the Sex Pistols and former member of John Lydon’s Public Image Limited PiL, will participate in a special concert  and conversation session at the Idea Store Whitechapel on Friday, 13 October.

Jah Wobble has always managed to surprise, delight and confound his core audience. During a varied 40 year career he has constantly provided creativity and invention in dub and world music and has been major influence on the London and national music business.

At 3pm he will share his memories of the musical scene in which he grew up and the surroundings that formed him as he returns to his roots and spends an hour in conversation with Mike Tyrrell, the former Chief Executive of Tower Hamlets Community Homes.

The discussion will explore a whole host of East End topics in what promises to be a classic afternoon of insightful, entertaining conversation.

The event is to mark National Libraries week 2017.

From 7pm  Jah Wobble and and the Invaders of the Heart will play a set encompassing the genres of dub, world, ambient and avant-rock music,
