Egg hunts, arts and crafts and fun and games are some of the activities that the council is hosting to keep the whole family active this Easter holiday.
Over at Victoria Park on Saturday 31 March, there will be a chance to have a photo with the Easter Bunny or take part in Easter themed arts and crafts.
The fun will run from 12 noon until 3pm. Meet at the park’s hub building.
Join in a free afternoon of fun on Sunday 1 April, from 1 to 3pm at Mile End Children’s Park, where you can meet our community park rangers and take part in a host of holiday activities.
A day of fun sport and physical activities for disabled children aged 5-11, will take place at Poplar Baths Leisure Centre, East India Dock Road, on Tuesday 3 April from 11am to 1pm and Wednesday 4 April from 1.30-3.30pm. Older children and teens between the ages of seven and 16 can take part in skating and BMX coaching sessions at Urban Wheelers Jam, a fun-filled day at our fantastic skate park in Victoria Park. Booking for coaching sessions takes place on the day and is on a first come first served basis.
For younger children, there will also be an opportunity to trampoline, have a go at wall climbing and get on a smoothie bike to make a healthy, refreshing drink.
The free event on April 11 will run from 11am until 3pm.
Bring a picnic to the Victoria Park bandstand on Saturday 14 April, and enjoy Young Herbert’s Horrors, a performance in the park for all the family to enjoy. The show starts at 1pm.

At Idea Store Bow, take part in the Slooooow Egg & Spoon Race
Children’s Walk on Thursday 5 April from 2:30-3:30pm. Circuit the children’s library with an egg balanced on a spoon. If your egg falls, you are out!
Idea Store Watney Market will host scores of children’s Easter activities. On Saturday 7 April from 2:30 - 3:30pm, you can drop in to make your own Easter basket to carry all your delicious treats.
Take part in an Easter word search onTuesday 10 April from 2:30 - 4:00pm or make your own bookmark on Saturday 14 April from 2:30 - 4:00pm.
