Theme 5 Community Safety

This theme has three funding schemes which is summarised below.

Scheme 5A – Reduction in the exploitation of children, young people and other vulnerable groups

Priority

  1. Reduction in the exploitation of children and young people, and vulnerable groups. In this priority we are looking in particular to Increase the extent to which young people feel safe and reduce in the number of children and young people, and vulnerable groups being exploited.

Scheme 5B – Improving the perception of young people in the community

Priority

  1. Improving the perception of young people in the community. In this priority we are looking in particular to provide children and young people with opportunities to develop good relationships with others in the community to help break down barriers and develop good, positive relationships between people of different generations.

Scheme 5C – Services for people affected by domestic violence or other unsafe circumstances

Priority

  1. Services for people affected by domestic violence. In this priority we are looking in particular to:
    a)     Increase the extent to which young people affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse (DVSA) feel safe;
    b)     Increase the extent to which families affected by domestic violence feel safe
