Existing use

Granby Hall has been closed for public use since March 2020 to comply with Covid-19 regulations.

It was open briefly early in 2020 following a period of closure for repairs and improvement work to the building.

Prior to closure the premises were used regularly for a Somali elders lunch and activity club and by the Bentworth older people’s club.

The council has designated Granby Hall as a hub with a particular focus on activities to support the Somali community in tower hamlets.

A number of Somali led community groups have expressed an interest in using Granby Hall for their activities.

The council would expect the Somali focus for Granby Hall to be supported by and continued by the new leaseholder.

This would be alongside use by other local community groups, TRAs and residents.

Interested parties can view the premises by prior arrangement with facilities management team. Please call 020 7364 4084/2546 to arrange an appointment.
