For specialist domestic abuse support, Solace Women’s Aid can be reached Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, on 020 3795 5064.

The National Domestic Abuse Helpline offers free, confidential support every day, 24/7 and translation services are available on 0808 2000 247.

For professionals in Tower Hamlets, there’s also the Domestic Abuse Duty Line on 020 7364 4986, available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

For anyone needing emotional support at any time, the Samaritans are available 24/7 on 116 123.

Tower Hamlets Solace

Provides free, confidential, practical and emotional support to high-risk victims of domestic violence living in Tower Hamlets. Including advocacy, referral and information.

The domestic violence does not have to have been reported to the police.

Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) offer one-to-one support and referrals to other specialist agencies e.g. counselling. IDVAs also provide safety planning and risk assessment for domestic violence cases.

They liaise with criminal justice agencies and housing services to increase safety and will submit third party reports to police if requested by the client.

Victim Support also provides specialist service for victims of serious and violent crime, i.e. hate crime, sexual assault, GBH, ABH.
