For specialist domestic abuse support, Solace Women’s Aid can be reached Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, on 020 3795 5064.

The National Domestic Abuse Helpline offers free, confidential support every day, 24/7 and translation services are available on 0808 2000 247.

For professionals in Tower Hamlets, there’s also the Domestic Abuse Duty Line on 020 7364 4986, available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

For anyone needing emotional support at any time, the Samaritans are available 24/7 on 116 123.

University House Legal Advice Centre

A not-for-profit advice centre that employs solicitors, caseworkers, and other legal professionals. The advice centre provides free specialist advice in the following areas:

  • Victims/survivors of domestic abuse
  • Employment
  • Family
  • Housing
  • Consumer
  • Debt
  • Welfare benefits

No criteria required for victims of domestic abuse to access free legal advice.

People with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) can access this service, however immigration advice cannot be given.

Advice is provided online, by telephone, during drop-in sessions and through an appointments system. University House Legal Advice Centre also operate several outreach projects.
