Cleaner, greener volunteering
Make a difference in your neighbourhood, gain new skills and experience, meet new people, get fitter, feel better, improve your local environment - volunteer with us!
The Clean, Green and Highways section of the council is seeking enthusiastic people to get stuck into various activities around the borough. Volunteer activities will include one or a combination of gardening, painting, graffiti removal and litter picking.
Or why not get involved in Adopt a garden, our award winning scheme to help green and beautify the borough.
No experience is necessary. Most activities last between 1-24 hours depending on what is involved and the number of volunteers.
All equipment including gloves and tools will be supplied. You'll be invited to training activities, through out the year.
Can't make it?
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to join our email mailing list. We will send news and details of new volunteering opportunities from us and partner organisations.
We also host Corporate Social Responsibility and Team Building days for groups. Visit the Corporate team building page.
Organise your own event
Encourage your neighbours and friends to come together to improve your area with a clean-up, litter pick or weeding. We can register your event, encourage volunteers to assist you on the day, provide equipment and collect waste.
