Chrisp Street Children's Centre Consultation

The Council’s Strategic Development Committee on 24 July 2018 approved a major regeneration scheme for Chrisp Street which will take nearly 10 years to complete. There will be a range of social, economic and environmental benefits including more jobs; more affordable homes; an improved street market and public realm; and a new community hub building which will include an extension of the Idea Store.

Implementation of the scheme will mean the partial demolition of the Children’s Centre at Nos 23-27 Market Way which means it will need to be relocated to new premises. The demolished part of the building will make way for new development which will include family accommodation for social rent.

A site in nearby Kerbey Street has been identified with designs and floorplans for people and stakeholders to look at.

Take a look at the floorplans and design here.

This consultation is now closed. Thank you for contributing.

We'll be in the Chrisp Street Idea Store, with the designs from 4-7pm on Wednesday 7 November. Please drop by to let us know your thoughts and ask us any questions about the proposal.
