The Community Schools Admissions consultation
We are consulting all interested parties, including parents, schools and community groups on our community school admissions arrangements for the 2021-22 school year.
The aim is to improve the school admission process for Tower Hamlets schools, so that it is fair and that as many parents as possible gain a place for their child at one of their preferred schools. We would like your views on the following:
(i) Planned admission numbers for schools in Tower Hamlets
- Primary Schools (including proposed reductions to schools in four catchment areas)
- Secondary Schools (including proposed increase in the PAN at Oaklands School)
(ii) Proposed arrangements for admission to Tower Hamlets:
- Nursery school/classes
- Primary schools
- Secondary schools
(iii) Proposed schemes for co-ordinating arrangements:
- For admissions to the Reception Year of Primary School and the Year 7 of Secondary School (standard points of entry)
- For admissions outside of the standard points of entry (in-year admissions)
Please give us your views by completing the questionnaire.
