How engaging are we?
We urge everyone who lives, works or studies in the borough to help shape the way in which the council communicates and engages with the community.
An online survey has been developed to assess and improve the council’s:
- methods of engagement
- co-production approach (where the council works with local people to produce services)
- support for community leadership.
Mayor of Tower Hamlets, John Biggs, said: “We are committed to improving the effectiveness of our engagement with residents and businesses.
“This review presents an opportunity to better use digital channels (such as Facebook and Twitter), build resilience in the community and ensure that we are doing all we can to support the voluntary sector.”

A series of focus groups will be held to discuss the themes of the consultation with residents. To attend a group or to request a paper copy of the consultation email Afazul.Hoque@towerhamlets.gov.uk.
The consultation opens on November 20 and closes on December 14.
Feedback on the consultation will be made available on the council’s website when it has been analysed and reviewed.
