Tracking our performance
We use a range of information to regularly monitor areas in which we are performing well and those where we need to make more progress. Our quarterly cycle provides the opportunity for councillors to scrutinise our performance and seek more information to inform their understanding.
Our Strategic Plan sets out the council's key priorities and activities for the year. Performance against these priorities and our strategic measures is monitored regularly through our quarterly monitoring report. Alongside the overarching quarterly report and update on our strategic measures, we provide a six-monthly update on progress against activities identified in the Strategic Plan, at quarters 2 and 4.
Strategic monitoring reports
We have provided a list of the current financial year’s quarterly monitoring reports, below. Because of the way our reporting cycle works, there tends to be a time lag of around 12 weeks from the end of any quarter before the Strategic Monitoring reports reach Cabinet and are published on our website.
Improving the way we publish this information
We recognise that people may wish to download and reuse the information published in these reports. We are currently considering alternative ways of publishing this information to make it more accessible.
