Air quality and development
Construction and development can have a significant negative impact on people and the environment. However, if managed properly, this impact can be effectively minimised.
In order to assess emissions of, and exposure to air pollution during the construction and operational phases of a development, all major developments must carry out an air quality assessment. Major developments must also be shown to be at least air quality neutral.
