Local Early Help Pilot
The Local Early Help Pilot will unite Children’s Centres, Health Visitors, Schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Community, Voluntary Sector organisations and local youth provision. Research shows that children who thrive in their early years, achieve better outcomes at school and experience greater success in life.
Using a restorative approach, the Local Early Help Pilot will link high quality schools and early year’s provision with social and health support for children and families to improve outcomes.
The pilot aims to improve early language acquisition in the children’s home language and in English. Through effective support, all children across the borough will develop skills needed to access education, achieve good mental health, develop positive relationships and secure economic opportunities in adulthood.
