The Outdoor Gyms Programme is a joint Parks and Public Health initiative supported by the Mayoral Growth Fund. It aimais to deliver exciting, inclusive and safe places in which to enjoy physical activity across Tower Hamlets.
Seven outdoor gyms in existing parks and open spaces have now been installed across the borough.
Physical inactivity is a major issue in the borough contributing to a range of health problems.
The Outdoor Gyms are open to everyone and free to use! Find out more about using an Outdoor Gym.

Locations and classes
As well as installing the gyms, we are running an activation programme to encourage and enable the widest range of residents to use the facilities. It will involve free weekly instructor-led exercise sessions at each of the venues. Coaches will be on hand at classes to show you how to use the equipment and find the right programme for you.
Please note that as of November 2018 the class programme is suspended. The classes will start again in 2019. Please check back for further information.
