Parking price increases came into effect on 18 April 2019

From October 2019, there will be an additional charge for a diesel vehicle and this charge will be in addition to the cost of a permit, including any surcharge applied to the second and third permit in a residential household.

Funeral waiver application terms and conditions

1. Who can apply

If the deceased lived in the borough the person dealing with their affairs can apply for a maximum of 26 free funeral waivers.

2. Where you can park

The permit should be displayed on the front or nearside of each vehicle so that all particulars are readily visible for the outside.

Providing your permit is correctly displayed, you can park in any zone, all day, on-street in parking bays signed “Resident Permit Holders Only”, “Permit Holders Only”, or “Permit Holders or Pay at Machine” within all zones in Tower Hamlets.

Where a Permit is Not Valid

Your parking permit is not valid in bays signed differently to those above. You should also check the signs close to the bay where you park to make sure you can use it.
