The Hodge Foundation
The Hodge Foundation awards grants to UK registered charities (or exempt charities) to further their objectives in the UK or overseas (via UK charities). The focus area of the fund:
- Supporting vulnerable or disadvantaged people to improve their lives
- Causes and groups: Elderly, homeless, disabled, individuals with special needs, and those with mental health issues
- Funding rounds: Awarded throughout the year, suggesting multiple rounds with allocated budgets
- Project stage: Priority given to projects already up and running or in advanced planning stages, demonstrating clear need and impact
- Collaboration: Collaboration between charities is encouraged to maximize impact
- Sustainability: Projects should demonstrate financial and operational sustainability.
Eligibility
Registered UK charity: Must be a registered UK charity or exempt charity. Overseas projects: considered if implemented by UK registered charities.
Funding amount
Grant size: typically, between £5,000 and £25,000.
Closing date
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

The A B Charitable Trust The Justice System and Penal Reform
The A B Charitable Trust works with organisations which do any or all the following:
- deliver effective services for individuals (and their families) who are at risk of contact with or within the justice system (at any stage, from prevention to police to courts and prison)
- support effective rehabilitation in the community
- work to influence policy, public opinion, and narratives and to reform/reimagine the justice system
- strengthen the sector and support organisations delivering work in this area.
Funding is typically awarded to organisations working solely in these priority areas. For these organisations, core funding (unrestricted grants) or project funding (restricted grants) are both available.
With unrestricted funding, organisations can skip project creation. They may apply for project funding when it benefits them.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this open funding programme, organisations will work in one of these priority areas:
- be registered as a UK charity, delivering work in the UK
- have an annual income between £150k and £1.5m (this applies to the most recent published accounts and the two subsequent financial years - this would include draft figures and forecasts)
- have operated for at least a year and be able to provide a full year’s audited or independently examined accounts
Registered UK charity
Must be a registered UK charity or exempt charity. Overseas projects: considered if implemented by UK registered charities.
Funding amount
Grants range in size, with most grants awarded being in the range of £10,000 to £30,000.

Clothworkers Foundation
The Clothworkers’ Foundation Open Grants Programme welcomes UK charities and not-for-profits meeting eligibility criteria.
- Buildings: purchase, construction, renovation, or refurbishment
- Fittings, Fixtures, and Equipment: this includes, but is not limited to office equipment/furniture, sports/gym equipment, digital/audiovisual equipment, garden equipment, and specialist therapeutic (excluding medical) equipment
- Vehicles: this includes a minibus, car, caravan, people-carrier, or 4X4.
Eligibility
UK registered charities or not-for-profit organisations. The work of the organisation must fit within one or more of our specified programme areas:
- Young People Facing Disadvantage
- Substance misuse & Addiction
- Prison and Rehabilitation
- Older People Facing Disadvantage
- LGBT+ Communities
- Homelessness
- Economic Disadvantage
- Domestic and sexual abuse
- Disabilities (Including Mental Health & Visual Impairment
- Communities Experiencing Racial Inequalities.
Funding amount
Funding amounts vary as each application is assessed individually.
