Resident Parking Permits – On-street
Most residents can work out the cost of their permit in 2 to 3 simple steps.
How much will my permit cost?
The cost of your permit depends on your vehicle type, CO₂ emissions and whether any additional charges apply. In general, vehicles with lower emissions pay less, while vehicles with higher emissions pay more.

Step 2 . Find your vehicle emissions band & Permit price
The cost of your resident parking permit depends on your vehicle's CO₂ emissions. In line with the council's emissions based charging policy.

Resident permit charges are based on your vehicle's CO₂ emissions. Vehicles that produce lower emissions pay a lower permit charge, while vehicles that produce higher emissions pay a higher permit charge.

Estate Parking Permits
Estate parking permits are available for residents, businesses and Blue Badge holders who use council managed estate parking areas. The charge depends on the type of parking space required.

Parking bays are allocated based on availability. A bay that appears empty may already be assigned to another resident.
The Permits Team will review your application and try to allocate a suitable bay where possible. Please note that we cannot guarantee a parking bay, even if you live on the estate.
Allocated parking permits are only valid for the specific numbered bay assigned to you. The permit does not allow parking in any other bay within the estate.
