The London Borough of Tower Hamlets provides some of the best
known and most thriving markets in London. No other place offers
such an array of diverse and vibrant markets to both its residents
and visitors alike. Of these, the Council manages the operation of
ten street markets, which also contains some of our most

There is the iconic Brick Lane, the traditional Roman Road, or
even the famous flower market in Columbia Road, extremely popular
with tourists.
It has been estimated that these markets alone annually turn
over £21 million and provide over 300 employment opportunities for
our residents.
