Complaints
Tower Hamlets is committed to giving you the best possible
service. It is only by listening to your views that we can find out
what we are doing well and what needs to improve.
We are continuously looking at ways in which to improve our
services and will act on what you tell us. If you are making a
complaint we will carry out enquiries independently and fairly,
deal with your complaint as quickly and effectively as we can while
maintaining confidentiality and keeping you informed of
progress.
Our Annual
Report provides a summary of the issues we considered last
year.
Corporate
complaints procedure
Get details on our complaints procedure which
has three stages. In many cases your complaint will be dealt with
on the spot, if not, we will write to you within ten working
days.
Adult social care complaints
Health and adult social care in Tower Hamlets want to offer the
best possible services. We can learn from you and change how we do
things if you tell us. When we get it right – compliment us,
When we don’t – raise your concern or make a complaint.
Children, Schools and
Families complaints procedure
If you have any complaints about Children, Schools and Families,
you can contact us on freephone: 0800 374 176 or email complaints@towerhamlets.gov.uk.
We can also help you make your complaint. We will put you in touch
with a children’s advocate who will help you have your say and get
things sorted.
Education complaints
procedure
Complaints about education and schools in
Tower Hamlets should be made directly to the head teacher of the
school that your child attends. After you have made your complaint
known to the school headteacher, the chair of governors of that
school can then be approached.
