Council Tax Cost of Living Relief Fund

If you live in Tower Hamlets and have a household income that is less than £50,350 you might be eligible for the Council Tax Cost of Living Relief Fund.

Eligibility

To be eligible you must:

  • be named on the Council Tax bill
  • not receive Council Tax reduction  
  • have less than £50,350 combined household income - this is the amount earned before any deductions
  • have less than £16,000 combined household savings
  • have been living in Tower Hamlets and named on the Council Tax bill  since before 1 April 2024
  • you will not be able to apply for backdated support for previous financial years

What you will need to complete the form

  • your council tax account number
  • evidence of your total household income
  • you will find it useful to have your Council Tax bill to hand
  • if you are employed or have employed adults in your household, you will need payslips for both March 2026 and April 2026
