School Workforce Census

The School Workforce census date is 2 November 2023. Schools will be able to upload, check and submit school census files in COLLECT from 9am.

The LA deadline for submissions via COLLECT (for all maintained schools) is Thursday 9 November 2023.

2023 changes

Please see the changes for the School Workforce Census for 2023 in the Centrally employed staff: guide:

  • A new post of School Business Professional (SBP) has been added, see section 7.2.4
  • A flag to identify members of the Senior Leadership Team in schools has been added see section 7.1.14
  • Destination and Leaving reason will be required for SBPs, see section 7.2.7 and 7.2.8
  • New guidance on submitting data on disabilities has been added, see section 7.1.9.
