Safeguarding in the Early Years

Safeguarding in the Tower Hamlets early years is promoted in line with the safeguarding and welfare requirements (section 3 of the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework). The workforce development team offers safeguarding training for childcare practitioners employed in an Ofsted registered early years setting.

Scaffolding and hoarding licence

When carrying out any building work, maintenance, or removing part of a property next to a public road, pavement or rear lane, the safety of people on the road is paramount.

School catering

The council provides a school catering service through contract services which is a non-profit organisation within the Tower Hamlets Children, Schools and Families (CSF) department

School clubs and activities

Activities the schools may offer include clubs and societies for students during lunch times, after school and during school holidays.

School crossing patrols

School crossing patrols ensure children can cross the road safely on their way to school.
