Council Tax Cost of Living Relief Fund
If you live in Tower Hamlets and have a household income that is less than £50,350 you might be eligible for the Council Tax Cost of Living Relief Fund.
Eligibility
To be eligible you must:
- be named on the Council Tax bill
- not receive Council Tax reduction
- have less than £60,000 combined household income - this is the amount earned before any deductions
- have less than £16,000 combined household savings
- have been living in Tower Hamlets and named on the Council Tax bill since before 1 April 2024
- you will not be able to apply for backdated support for previous financial years
What you will need to complete the form
You will find it useful to have your Council Tax bill to hand.
You will need:
- your Council Tax account number
- evidence of your total household income
- if you are employed or have employed adults in your household, you will need payslips for both March 2026 and April 2026
- if you are self-employed or have self-employed adults in your household, you will need to upload statement(s) of accounts
- if you or anyone in your household claims Universal Credit you will need to upload the latest statement(s)
