Women are invited to an open day at the new Nari Centre, to find out about the range of support and opportunities available.
The dedicated women’s hub is hosting activities, taster sessions and tours on Wednesday 11 February from 10am-3pm.
Residents can meet the team, explore the centre’s modern facilities, unwind with relaxing massages, and enjoy refreshments throughout the day.
Executive Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman said:
“The Nari Centre provides a safe space for women to access a range of services and build confidence, skills and community connections.
“Our ambition is to create a thriving hub where women feel seen, heard, valued and supported.”
Cllr Bodrul Choudhury, Cabinet Member for Equalities and Social Inclusion added:
“The open day is a fantastic opportunity for residents to find out more about the Nari Centre and experience firsthand how it can support, uplift and empower them.”
Located on Vallance Road, the fully modernised centre features classrooms, an IT suite, creche facilities, a community kitchen, and dedicated spaces for one‑to‑one support.
The hub offers a wide range of programmes including lifelong learning courses, employment support, digital skills and parenting workshops.
It also provides advice on housing, benefits, legal issues, support with domestic violence, counselling, and emotional wellbeing - alongside women only activities, sports, creative sessions and onsite childcare.
