Statement on the antisemitic attack in Golders Green

A message from Lutfur Rahman, Executive Mayor of Tower Hamlets:

“I’m deeply shocked at the arson attack on the Jewish ambulances in Golders Green.

“London’s strength is our diversity.  We are a proud multicultural city where people of all backgrounds live in tolerance and harmony with one another. This attack is an assault on those shared values of care and compassion.

“The people who committed this arson are cowards who do not represent our city. We stand together with our Jewish residents in response to this act.

“We will work with the police and our Interfaith Forum and Tension Monitoring Group to provide reassurance to our Jewish community and faith partners.

“Tower Hamlets is no place for hate, and no place for antisemitism.”
