Extend the life of your things with:
- drop-in bike maintenance and repairs – bring along your bike, bike mechanics will be on hand to help
- drop-in clothes mending workshop – bring along items that need repair and learn to fix them.
- fabric painting and upcycling workshop – remember to bring along a plain t-shirt or tote bag
- recycling Information Stall – find out more on Council's recycling service and how to improve your recycling habits
A clothes and book swap will be held while our workshops are taking place in the background.
Clothes and book swap
How it works?
- Bring up to 15 items of clothing or books in good, clean condition between 10.30 to 11.30am and exchange for tokens.
- There will be a break between dropping off your clothes and the start of the swap.
- Join one of our workshops or come back once swapping has started.
- Between 12 to 1pm browse and choose items of clothing and/or books and exchange your tokens for up to 15 new pieces for you.
- All clothes and shoes (including babies, children’s, men’s and women’s items) are accepted but no underwear or swimwear please.
Please ensure all items are in good, clean condition with no marks, stains or holes – only bring items you would be happy to take away! All items will be checked before tokens are issued.
Books must be in good condition and will be part of 15 items allowed. Any clothes and books left at the end of the swap will be brought to the next swap event or will be collected by our charity partner Triad.
